Alzheimer's & Dementia Care

Alzheimer's Disease is difficult for both the patient and family. Glen Oaks's trained staff understand the concerns and emotions involved in placing a loved one in a nursing home. We know the right place must feel like home and the staff must be dedicated and devoted to caring for individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and other related dementias. We recognize the importance of professional care combined with personal compassion. Our staff are an empathetic and understanding family, creating an atmosphere where optimal health and a satisfying quality of life are achievable.

Nurturing each resident as an individual

Our goal is to create an environment for our residents that provides expert medical and clinical services in addition to personalized family-like care. We combine this within an atmosphere of comfort, tranquility, compassion, safety and support and to enhance quality of life.

Prior to admission, an interview is conducted with family members to determine if placement in our program is appropriate. We also conduct in-home or hospital evaluations. As part of the admission process, each individual entering our program is assessed by a clinical team of professionals. We then meet with the family to present and discuss their loved one's plan of care. This assessment provides a comprehensive plan of care specifically designed for each resident. This assures that our resident and family are included in the plan of care that is professionally developed and tailored to meet the medical, physical, emotional, personal, and spiritual needs of each resident in our program.

Clinically trained staff

Our staff are trained and dedicated to increase awareness, create security, and ensure comfort for our residents.

In addition, professional consultants regularly provide information towards staff growth, development, and achievment. We provide quality, compassionate care which is always a rewarding experience for our staff and families.

Security & safety

Our state of the art door security system allows Glen Oaks's residents to be active and mobile throughout the day.

With our security system residents are able to walk freely throughout the facility and are unable to exit the facility without being accompanied by a trained staff member. This helps to maintain dignity, promotes independence, and enhances confidence within safe and secure surroundings. Families always feel relaxed and assured that their loved ones are safe and among professional staff who are truly concerned for our residents safety and welfare.
